Frequently Asked Questions

About the TW-EZ1 SD-WAN Platform

What is the

We have the first solution of SD-WAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network) that combines proactive monitoring with WhatsApp alerts, real-time performance dashboards, management of links from multiple providers, and end-to-end responsibility for the service (“one stop shop”). It is aimed at companies that need high availability, performance, and network security. It allows you to manage multiple internet links - fiber, radio, 4G, 5G or satellite - on a single interface, with remote installation and simplified configuration, without the need for an on-site technician.

Does the solution work with links from different operators?

Yes. Telcoweb integrates more than 600 regional and national providers throughout Brazil, allowing your company to use current internet contracts or count on complete link management by Telcoweb.

What happens if a link goes down?

O SD-WAN TW-EZ1 Perform the Failover automatic, redirecting traffic to another active link no loss of connection. If all fixed connections fail, the system activates 4G/5G mobile contingency to maintain airborne operation.

Does the platform improve voice, video, and application performance?

Yes. Intelligent load balancing ensures that each type of traffic is flowed through the most appropriate link, based on latency, jitter, bandwidth, and packet loss rate.

Is it possible to prioritize traffic by application type?

Currently, the platform does not allow manual prioritization by type of traffic (e.g. Teams before YouTube), but uses AI algorithms to automatically classify and optimize flows.

Security and Encryption

Does the solution have end-to-end encryption?

Yes. VPN tunnels use the Protocol WireGuard, with modern algorithms like Curve25519, ChaCha20, Poly1305 and Blake2s, ensuring safety, efficiency, and low latency.

Does the system replace the firewall?

In less complex environments, yes. The TW-EZ1 CPE offers features such as DMZ, port mapping, URL filtering, Blacklist of MAC and WAN anchoring. In more demanding networks, it can operate integrated with existing firewalls.

Is there protection against attacks?

Yes. The platform offers protection against basic attacks such as DDoS and intrusion attempts, in addition to allowing integration with security solutions such as SASE, antivirus, and edge firewalls.

Third-Party Link Management

What is Telcoweb's Third-Party Link Management?

It is a service that allows you to monitor, optimize and manage the links contracted from different operators, without replacing them. Telcoweb acts as a connectivity orchestrator, ensuring that the links work as a single network, with efficiency and resilience.

Operation and Expansion

Is it easy to add new branches or sites?

Yes. Provisioning is automatic (zero-touch) and the configuration is centralized on a single panel. New sites can be activated without reconfiguring the entire network.

What is the maximum speed of the interfaces?

Each WAN interface supports up to 1 Gbps of flow, with the possibility of expansion without the replacement of hardware.

Does the solution work in hybrid environments (physical + cloud)?

Yes. Telcoweb offers direct and secure internet connectivity and cloud services such as Office 365, Teams, and Salesforce, with no need to return to the datacenter.

Support and Alerts

Does the system send fault alerts?

Yes. The platform sends automatic notifications by e-mail, WhatsApp or integration with systems such as Zabbix, whenever there are failures or link degradation.

How is the choice of the mobile operator made?

Telcoweb uses a intelligent tool based on regulatory data to indicate the best cellular operator for the CPE installation address.
